Almost every woman begins to plan her wedding since childhood. For 26-year-old Wang Xuemei, a doctoral student in Harbin Institute of Technology, a flash of thought convinced her to hold her dream wedding in traditional way.
What sealed the deal were the alluring traditional customs in the village she witnessed when she went back home during the Spring Festival. So she decided to have a traditional wedding. Her idea was fully supported by her parents and the groom, her schoolmate. They ordered a traditional sedan chair online and bought a horse from a market nearby. The wedding cost them about 80,000 yuan ($11,830) but it was appreciated by the whole village and gave the newlywed a special memory.
