High-tech helps spot distracted driving in SW China city

CHONGQING -- An intelligent highway monitoring system in Southwest China's Chongqing city can spot cell phone use while driving.
The system can automatically capture images of unfastened seat belts and cell phone use.
So far, 145 cases of cell phone use and 307 cases of unfastened seat belts have been reported.
The Chongqing traffic police are considering expanding the system to the rest of the city.
