An underground dwellings located in Central China's Henan province is the only underground ancient dwellings in China as well as the world.
Originating from the cave culture, the underground quadrangle dwellings, totaling more than 10,000, in the southern part of Shanzhou district, Sanmenxia city in Henan province, are recognized as a live fossil in the history of dwellings.
