Wuhan welcoming the world's finest

Grand Slam champions Wozniacki, Halep and Kerber headline in Hubei
The Sept 21-29 Wuhan Open will showcase 19 of the world's top 20 female tennis players, competing for $2.75 million in prize money.
Among the stars confirmed for the fifth edition of the international showcase in the capital of Hubei province are reigning Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon champions Caroline Wozniacki, Simona Halep and Angelique Kerber.
They will be joined by two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza, two-time Wimbledon and two-time Wuhan Open champion Petra Kvitova and last year's Wuhan winner Caroline Garcia.
"We're very proud to provide such an important showcase for the world's very best and believe that the caliber of players we attract shows how much the tournament has grown and flourished over its five years," co-tournament director Fabrice Chouquet said on Wednesday.
