Xi urges young people to hone abilities

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping on Tuesday urged Chinese youth of the new era to hone their abilities when he addressed a gathering to mark the centenary of the May Fourth Movement in Beijing.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, asked young people to work hard in learning the Marxist stance, viewpoints and methods, mastering scientific and cultural knowledge and professional skills, and improving their humanistic quality.
