Training program for visiting young sinologist kicks off in Shanghai


BEIJING -- A training and exchange program for young sinologist has recently opened in Shanghai, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
During their China visits, the 37 sinologists involved in this year's program will join five lectures and take part in themed discussions and seminars with experts for three weeks.
They will also visit multiple places in the city, including historical sites, government agencies and state-owned enterprises to experience Chinese culture and the country's development.
The program, first started by the MCT in 2014, aims to build a global platform for overseas young sinologists to conduct research on China.
The program has trained a total of 514 young sinologists from 99 countries since its establishment.
