Ghana suspends sporting activities over COVID-19 outbreak

ACCRA - Ghana has suspended all sporting activities in the country to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The announcement was made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a televised address in Accra.
It comes after the west African country recorded four additional coronavirus cases, which brings the total number of infected cases to six.
Akufo-Addo said the decision is in the interest of public safety and the protection of the people.
