China dismissed accusations on Wednesday from individual foreign politicians smearing and slandering China's efforts to fight COVID-19.
Guo Weimin, a spokesman of the third plenary session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, made the comments at an online video news conference in Beijing.
The politicians' accusations are either borne from domestic political needs, trying to shift their own responsibilities or ideological prejudice, Guo said, adding that such attempts will inevitably fail.
