'Fairies' of Dong ethnic group conjure big sales through streaming

Tapping into livestreaming to promote goods has become a hot trend in cities, but the phenomenon has also reached villages. Seven girls of Dong ethnic group from Liping county, Southwest China's Guizhou province have helped Gaibao village get rid of poverty and become rich via short videos promoting local agricultural products. They've held over 800 public welfare live broadcasts and generated over 130 million yuan ($20.08 million) for hometown villagers in the last three years.
