Beijing-bound train travelers need negative COVID-19 tests
The railway department announced on Sunday that all passengers to the capital, Beijing, should bring negative nucleic acid testing results from within seven days of boarding the train. The reminder is pertinent as the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday ends and an increasing number of people come back to the city for work from other areas.
The regulation started before the holiday began and will last till March 15, according to Beijing Daily report.
People who are from high and medium risk areas for COVID-19 control and prevention should not come to Beijing unless they have approval from provincial-level epidemic prevention departments and negative nucleic acid testing results within 72 hours of boarding a train to Beijing.
The railway department also reminds the public that those who fail to bringtheir testing results will not be able to boardtrains.
