Universal Beijing Resort moves toward completion

Preparations for the opening of the Universal Beijing Resort are moving steadily toward the goal of providing an immersive experience for visitors, Beijing's Tongzhou district government said on Wednesday.
When the resort opens to the public, Beijing will become the fifth city in the world with a Universal Studios theme park.
Construction of the park has been basically completed, according to the district, where the park is located. Some 9,000 staff members have been at their posts in test mode, waiting for the opening of the park. The exact date has not been announced.
According to the local government, seven themed scenic spots will be distributed throughout the park, and Chinese cultural elements will be a primary highlight. Miao Lewen, a park manager, said the Kung Fu Panda Land will have the most concentrated Chinese flavor inside the resort.
