Historical resolution of profound significance to Party

The historical resolution adopted at the sixth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China will impart profound significance in terms of pushing the whole Party to unify thoughts, will and action, said Qu Qingshan, head of the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee at a news conference in Beijing on Friday.
The Resolution on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century, the third historical resolution in the CPC's history, also has far-reaching significance for leading people of all ethnic groups in China to learn from history and create the future, uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, Qu said.
The resolution is a guiding piece of literature of Marxism, a political declaration the CPC members made to bear in mind the Party's founding mission and uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics, as well as an action guide for achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, Qu said.
