Beijing suspends sports events, courses

Beijing has suspended all sports events as well as sports training courses and after-school activities because of the current COVID-19 situation, according to a statement released by the city's Sports Bureau on Tuesday.
All activities will be postponed until further notice, after the completion of the three rounds of nucleic acid testing for the coronavirus conducted as of Saturday, the statement said.
All sports and fitness venues should strictly implement regular epidemic prevention and control measures, such as temperature monitoring, code scanning, environmental disinfection and wearing of masks, the statement said.
The venues should require reservations and limit visitors in proportion to local conditions.
Staff members providing services at sports venues should take at least one nucleic acid test every week. Sports equipment and facilities should be disinfected regularly.
Managers should strengthen their management of imported goods and carefully deal with imported goods sent from countries and regions with a high incidence of infection.
