Shared teaching helps left-behind children in Guizhou
A costume designer is teaching students the traditional batik pattern at their school in Longquan town in Danzhai county, Guizhou province.
In 2019, the education department of Danzhai county, in western Guizhou, established relations between local primary schools and Hangzhou Binjiang Experimental Primary School in the east, so that local schools can share high-quality educational resources with the more advanced one.
Hangzhou Binjiang offered instructional materials and employed a group of teachers to conduct after-school activities related to intangible cultural heritage, martial arts, calligraphy and sports, which enriched students' lives — especially left-behind children whose parents work elsewhere.
