Hundreds of scientists from 25 countries and regions, including 27 Nobel laureates, gathered in Shanghai this week for the sixth World Laureates Forum for in-depth discussions on topics such as life sciences, artificial intelligence and carbon neutrality. They expressed great confidence in China’s scientific and technological development, saying the country’s fundamental education is among the best in the world, the young generation has a growing interest in science, and that China has invested heavily in scientific research.
