Listed as Shanghai's intangible cultural heritage, the art of Jinshan peasant painting has been exhibited and gained popularity in many nations and regions across the world.

This time, painter Li Yuan presented his work themed on Sydney's landmarks as a gift to David van Nunen, president of the Australian Watercolour Institute.

Themed "Reminiscing Jiangnan", the exhibition embodies the expectation to further promote the exchange and mutual understanding of civilizations between the two nations.

"The Jinshan peasant paintings brim with imagination. Through these artworks, I sense a multitude of parallels between Sydney and Shanghai, Australia and China. It's evident that the people of both nations share a profound enthusiasm for life. I'm genuinely delighted to partake in this extraordinary cultural exchange," said David van Nunen.
