China to offer living subsidies to disadvantaged ahead of PRC founding anniversary

BEIJING -- China has announced a one-off living subsidy for individuals in need, including orphans, ahead of the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
The funding distribution has been approved by the State Council and is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.
The two ministries stressed efforts to strengthen financial oversight and ensure the funds are delivered to the recipients before the PRC founding anniversary on Oct 1.
