Former Moutai chairman under investigation for misconduct

Ding Xiongjun, director of the Administration for Market Regulation of Guizhou Province, is under investigation for suspected serious disciplinary and legal violations, Guizhou's discipline inspection commission and provincial commission of supervision announced on Thursday.
In 2021, Ding was appointed as chairman of Kweichow Moutai Group, China's leading liquor maker, according to official records from the provincial government's website.
Public official information also shows that Ding became director of the Administration for Market Regulation of Guizhou province in April 2024.
