Weifang has 'mammoth' prosperity

Mammoth fossils, unearthed over 40 years ago in Wujia village, Weifang city of Shandong province, have been presented to the public at the Weifang Museum after meticulous restoration.
These fossils belong to a young male mammoth, which has a breathtaking height of 4.83 meters. It represents the unique Mammuthus weifangensis, the only mammoth species named after a Chinese city.
