Community arts carnival held in Macao ahead of intl parade

MACAO -- The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government and co-hosting companies on Sunday organized the "Community Arts Carnival" of the upcoming "2025 Macao International Parade."
The city's Iao Hon Market Park and Edf. (Building) Lok Yeung Fa Yuen came alive with music, dance, and aerial performances, engaging the public in interactive artistic experiences. The carnival highlighted Macao's rich cultural diversity, from Portuguese folk dances to dynamic sports.
According to the SAR's Cultural Affairs Bureau, artistic groups from three other cities designated "Culture Cities of East Asia 2025," including China's Huzhou, South Korea's Anseong, and Japan's Kamakura, were invited to this year's parade, which will be held on March 23.
The event's official website showed that 23 groups from 15 countries and regions will join the 60 local participating groups, totaling an estimated 1,800 artists, offering a cultural exchange feast.
