From the snowy peaks of Changbai Mountain to the alpine heights of the Swiss Alps, spring draws a poetic connection across continents. On April 4, the "Hello, China" Jilin Cultural and Tourism Promotion Event was held in Bern, Switzerland.

From its pristine ecology and world-class winter sports offerings to its rich historical and cultural heritage, the province captivated Swiss audiences. Among the highlights was Changbai Mountain, one of China's top 10 mountains, which boasts the world's highest volcanic lake – Tianchi Lake – along with healing hot springs, lush vertical climate zones, and rare species. The region is also known for its high-quality ginseng, mineral water, and traditional inkstones.

Summer in Jilin offers a refreshing escape with average temperatures of 22 C. The eastern mountains are over 85 percent forested, while the central plains and western grasslands offer sweeping vistas and diverse ecosystems.

The event featured captivating ethnic dances from Jilin's Korean and Mongolian communities and a photo exhibition showcasing the province's seasonal beauty. Attendees were especially drawn to intangible cultural heritage displays, where they experienced traditional crafts like paper cutting, fish skin painting, and hands-on demonstrations of traditional Chinese medicine.
