Miao Hua has been removed from his position as a member of the Central Military Commission, China's top military decision-making body, after a decision taken at a meeting.
The decision was announced by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, on Friday when it closed its latest session in Beijing, with no other details released.
Miao has served as the CMC's political work chief since 2017 and was elected as a CMC member at the 19th National Congress of the CPC in 2017, according to public information.
In November, Miao was suspended from duty and was placed under investigation on suspicion of seriously violating discipline, the Defense Ministry noted.
