The retail robot Xiao Fan, or Peddler, can accurately identify and approach potential customers through voice and its screen. Users can select items by tapping the screen and scanning a QR code for payment, Liu said.
Scheduled to run from Aug 7 to 17, the World Games Chengdu 2025 is expected to draw thousands of athletes from around the world to compete in 35 sports.
Chengdu will be the first city on the Chinese mainland to host the event. The competition includes archery, kayaking, gymnastics, breakdancing, and rock climbing, as well as lesser-known sports, such as fistball and jujitsu.
