Shanghai congress highlights latest minimally invasive gynecological treatments
A highlight of the congress this year was the appointment of Professor Sun Jing from Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital as the new president of the association.
Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital, one of the organizers of this year's meeting, has played a crucial role in fostering academic platforms and talent development. The hospital actively promotes the association's regional activities and training systems in Shanghai, strengthening collaboration between the Asia-Pacific and the Chinese mainland in minimally invasive techniques and academic concepts.
Professor Lee Chyi-long, chairman of the association's board, highlighted the advancements made by the Shanghai hospital in single-port laparoscopy and robotic minimally invasive technology in recent years, adding that they have achieved precision at the international level.
"The hospital's 'minimally invasive plus fertility preservation' approach reflects a unique Chinese characteristic, with young healthcare workers demonstrating increasing innovation and teamwork capabilities," he said.
