Beijing exhibition 'I Was Born a Girl' spotlights women's voices

Among the highlights is a new portrait and poem inspired by former short-track speed skater Yang Yang, which celebrates the strength of Chinese women.
In his opening remarks, Mikko Kinnunen, Finland's ambassador to China, said the exhibition demonstrates the power of driving change through art and stories. He noted that I Was Born a Girl calls for more stories of outstanding women to be told around the world, showcasing their achievements and contributions to a changing society.
The exhibition runs through Oct 8.
