Shanghai Jiao Tong University hosts event to highlight youth spirit
A performance themed "Youthful Symphony: Journey to the Future", jointly hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, or SJTU, Chinese social media platform Bilibili, and local news portal ThePaper.cn to highlight the vibrant spirit of the young generation, will be held at the university on Sunday.
The event will provide a unique experience where attendees will hear echoes of revolutionary heritage, witness inspiring stories of scientific dedication to the nation, and feel the innovative spirit of people at the school, while experiencing the cultural confidence of China's new trends.
A media tour of the school campus was organized on Friday, revealing a community of young individuals merging their personal dreams with the tides of the times in remarkable ways.
Among them is Zhao Weishu, an associate researcher at SJTU's School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology. Zhao is a pioneering scientist who has ventured into the "forbidden zones" of life, diving with manned submersibles into the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean, the Mariana Trench.
