This year marks the 90th anniversary of "The March of the Volunteers", a well-known song that serves as the Chinese national anthem. To commemorate this special occasion, China Daily reporter Yin Weihao documented a unique class on the anthem, attended by students from Beijing, Tianjin, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The session was led by Yu Hai, former head of the PLA Military Band, who explained to the students that the song's highest notes emphasize "China" and "one heart." This musical choice underscores the anthem's core message of unity, as intended by composer Nie Er.
