Ralph Day, a board member of the Australian Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the key role Linyi plays in China's manufacturing and trade network during the third Linyi Trade City International Sourcing Conference for Belt and Road Cooperation on Oct 10.
The city's central location places it at the heart of a major trade corridor connecting the rest of China and extending along the ancient Silk Road into Asia, said Day.
The city in East China's Shandong province is full of vitality, with companies supplying domestic and overseas markets, making Linyi an attractive destination for international sourcing, he added.
