Amid rising frictions over tariffs, technology and geopolitics between the United States and China, Singapore’s President Tharman Shanmugaratnam used the IMF-World Bank meetings in Washington to advance the “US-China Edge” — a call to seek common interests where competition meets cooperation and to turn rivalry into innovation.
