Flocks of black-headed gulls have gathered at Haibao Park in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, adding to the scenic view. These gulls not only bring the city to life but also demonstrate its achievements in ecological conservation.
Yinchuan, listed in the first batch of national wetland cities, boasts various landforms such as mountains, rivers, wetlands, and plains, with its number of lakes ranking second in the country.
Thousands of black-headed gulls depart from Siberia and migrate to China's Yunnan province every September and October. Yinchuan, whose beautiful environment and splendid wetlands are en route, attracts them to rest and restore their energy.
In addition to Yinchuan, other cities suitable for bird watching in Ningxia include Shizuishan, Wuzhong, Guyuan, and Zhongwei.
