Measures to safeguard rail operations
As winter is set to severely test the running of trains, Chinese railway operators have taken multiple steps to ensure their safety. As temperatures in several areas of Jiangxi province have dropped, the Nanchang Locomotive Depot and Yingtan Locomotive Depot under China Railway Nanchang Group have taken precise measures to bolster train operations this winter. Staff members have conducted thorough inspections of train equipment and implemented a temperature monitoring system to ensure that oil and water temperatures inside trains remain at over 20 C at all times. They have also established an emergency response team to battle the extreme cold conditions.
