BEIJING - The Chinese economy comprised about 12.3 percent of the world total in 2013, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Sunday.

China's GDP was 56.9 trillion yuan ($9.32 trillion) in 2013. GDP per capita was 41,908 yuan. These indicate remarkable progresses from 1952, when GDP was 67.9 billion yuan and GDP per capita was 119 yuan.
