China's search engine Baidu has announced the top topics discussed by netizens in 2013, based on research from its linked website Hao123.com.
This list is mainly determined by keen Internet users Generation X. The most popular TV series are Story of a Spicy Mother, X Female Agents and Young Father. The hottest movies include Lost in Thailand, Finding Mr Right and The Chef, the Actor, the Scoundrel.
Some of the most popular applications are Didi Taxi, which helps users book taxis; Encyclopedia of Stupid Things, an online platform for people to share their embarrassing experiences; and Sing Bar, an app for karaoke songs.
