An event that's part of Qatar China 2016, Treasures of China shows some 116 Chinese antiques dating from the Neolithic age to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The exhibition, which opened at Doha's Museum of Islamic Art on Sept 7 and runs to Jan 7, embarks the audience upon a time-travel through the birth of Chinese civilization, the formation of Silk Road and the dynamics of royal art.

The exhibits from five Chinese museums range from pottery, bronzeware and jade articles to other works of art. The highlights are the Terracotta Warriors from the Mausoleum of Qinshi Huang, the first emperor of China.
