From Western classical music, to Chinese folk music and pop hits, the potential of the guitar will be shown to the full at a concert of guitarist Yin Biao with his friends and students in Guangzhou on Sept 22.

Yin is known principally for playing Chinese folk music and has managed to incorporate the pipa, or Chinese lute, into his guitar repertoire.

Audiences can also enjoy the interesting interplay between guitar and erhu and guzheng, another two traditional Chinese musical instruments. The guitarist and his erhu player friend will get everyone dancing with their innovative performance of Czardas, a piece composed by Italian violinist Monti based on a gypsy dance.
