China, the world's second-largest oil consumer, imported 10.33 million tonnes of crude oil in November, 7.1 percent less than a year earlier, official figures showed on Monday.

Imports of light diesel that month were 102,713 tonnes, down 71 percent from the same period of last year, the General Administration of Customs said.

Fuel oil imports for November fell 39 percent from the year-earlier period to 1.96 million tonnes.

China exported 201,400 tonnes of gasoline in the month, down 49.8 percent, while light diesel exports rose 100.9 percent to 71,454 tonnes.

In the first 11 months of the year China imported 115.55 million tonnes of crude, 4.3 percent more than the same period of 2004. Crude exports for November were 15.38 times higher than a year earlier, at 949,247 tonnes.
