本周一，朝鮮外務省發(fā)言人發(fā)表講話，譴責美國政府以人權問題為名顛覆朝鮮政權的圖謀，強調(diào)朝鮮將進一步加強核遏制力等自衛(wèi)力量，以應對美國的敵視政策。
外電報道中有這樣一句話：The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday vowed to boost its defence capability --including anuclear deterrent-- to cope with Washington's criticism of its human rights record.
Nuclear deterrent 意思是“核遏制力”，deterrent此處作名詞用，意思是“阻礙物；威懾物”。Deterrent也可作形容詞，表示“威懾的”，比如，deterrent weapons（威懾性武器），deterrent policy（威懾政策）。
