Graffiti in Beijing

Updated: 2007-06-15 08:56

On November 12th, 2005, 1,000 days before the 2008 Olympics, the Olympic graffiti wall on Renmin University South road, in Beijing's Haidian District opened to the public. This so called 'Wall of Beijing' is currently the longest art wall in China at 730 meters long and 2.5 meters high.

Now the street is not the only place to find graffiti. With the growth of the youth market, lots of graffiti designers' patterns now appear on clothes, shoes, and other products. Some graffiti artists have also chosen to go professional, putting their works in art galleries. There is even 'Internet graffiti'.
