8月15日，罕見的日暈呈現(xiàn)羊城上空。氣象專家說，日暈屬于比較罕見的氣象景觀，而像此次廣州出現(xiàn)的完整日暈更是罕之又罕的自然奇觀。

由報(bào)道可知，日暈可用solar halo來表示。Solar指“與太陽有關(guān)的”，源于拉丁語，請(qǐng)看幾個(gè)與其相互搭配的短語：solar
system（太陽系）；solar rays（太陽光）；the solar
year（陽歷年）。Halo指（太陽或月亮周圍的）暈輪，常引申指“英雄的威望、榮耀”，如：Tainted with the charges of
corruption, he has lost his halo.（由于被指責(zé)有貪污舞弊行為，他一時(shí)威望掃地。）
另外，民間有諺語:“日暈三更雨，月暈午時(shí)風(fēng)”，可見，日暈和月暈是相對(duì)的，往往預(yù)示著天氣的變化。單詞lunar指“與月亮有關(guān)的”，與solar相對(duì)，由此，“月暈”可用lunar
halo來表示。
