我的“另一半”怎么說

昨天是七夕，有情人團(tuán)聚的日子。說到愛情，就不能不說說對愛人的稱謂。中國人通常把自己的另一半叫做“愛人”，有了孩子的也稱為“孩子他爸（媽）”；今天我們來看看在英語中，人們是怎么向別人介紹“另一半”的。
1. Where can British people find their ideal spouses？
spouse 是配偶的意思，指夫或妻，用于比較正式的場合。
2. How do they meet their other halves?
other half，“另一半”，那口子（指自己的配偶），同時(shí)也可以指代男女朋友。
3. Quite a lot of people said they meet girlfriends or boyfriends when they are out in a bar or club, or at a party.
boyfriend/girlfriend 男/女朋友，指尚未步入婚姻殿堂的情侶們。
4. Sometimes people meet the love of their life at a party or in a pub.
the love of your life 一生之愛，通常用于已經(jīng)結(jié)婚的伴侶或是兩人關(guān)系密切而穩(wěn)定。
5. I met my partner by the matchmaker.
partner 也可以用來指自己的另一半。
當(dāng)然啦，遇見自己伴侶的方式有很多種，可以通過工作、聚會、朋友介紹、媒人（matchmaker）、網(wǎng)絡(luò)約會（internet dating）等各種各樣。
