"I see on the streets of London lots of billboards with 'to let' on it. At first I didn't understand what it meant. So I guessed maybe it was supposed to be toilet but without the 'i'. So I'm wondering how this phrase is used."

If you have ever been to the UK, you may have seen a sign outside a building which says 'to let'.

Be very careful not to walk in looking for somewhere to go to the toilet! There's only one missing letter but a big difference in meaning.
