Temperatures are due to drop in most areas of Central and East China as a cold front sweeps in with rain and snow in places, according to Sunday's weather forecast.
The China Meteorological Administration said temperatures will dip 4 to 6 C, over the next two days in most parts of Central and East China, while an 8 to 12 C drop in temperatures will take place in some areas of North and Northeast China.
The affected areas are also expected to be hit by strong winds.
The cold front will bring rain and snow to the northeastern part of Heilongjiang province, the eastern part of Jilin province, the western Sichuan Basin, the eastern side of the Tibet autonomous region and the northern part of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, according to the forecast.
Showers are also expected in most areas east of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau over the next couple of days.
While there will be cold air across China over the next 10 days, the average temperature in most places will be the same as it was at this time last year, possibly a bit higher.
