Tsinghua Science Park recently hosted a lecture by Dr. Chen Datong, titled “Business models and corporate operations”, which was co-sponsored by Beijing Tuspark Incubator Co.,Ltd and the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA).

Dr. Chen received his BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University and then served as a post-doctoral researcher at Stanford University and the University of Illinois, and he is a founding partner of West Summit Capital Management.

The lecture was composed of three sections. In the first section, Dr. Chen talked about business opportunities, including how to find them, how to make use of them, how to adapt to the way the market works and how to avoid mistakes in the market economy. He used actual cases to explain the dilemmas that a young enterprise might face.

In the next section, the audience had the opportunity to hear Dr. Chen’s stories concerning his experience with startups and his insights about company management. Later, in the Q&A section, Dr. Chen answered questions concerning business models and corporate operations.
