At the invitation of DRC, the delegation of the Egyptian Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) headed by Chairman Magued Osman made a successful visit to China from June 4 to 13, 2007. During its stay in Beijing, DRC President Wang Mengkui met with the IDSC delegation and signed together with Chairman Osman the MOU for Cooperation between DRC and IDSC. During its trip to Beijing and Shanghai, the IDSC delegation met with senior officials from Ministry of Health, the State Bureau of Statistics, Office of the State Council Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development, Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal Government, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, and visited Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, Caohejing Hi-tech Park, Baosteel and other institutions and enterprises. Mr. Lan Weiban, Deputy Director General of DRC’s International Cooperation Department and Mr. Zhang Hongfei, Program Officer, accompanied the IDSC delegation during its visits in China.
