  • Stone complex well-preserved for 600 years

    Stone watchtowers and houses are scattered and oversee Ben Zhai village of Anshun city, Southwest China's Guizhou province, Aug 8, 2010. The village characterizes itself as a stone village. Built during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), the 600-year-old stone complexes are stunningly well-preserved. The houses are connected by a secret door, which guarantees the villagers can maintain good communication when the village came under attack. The walls, which served as food storage space during the war, are showing some bullet holes.

  • Waterfall festival promotes folk culture
