Reporters from Qingdao Daily embarked on a tour on Aug 6 and began their journey around 65 islands in Qingdao. The three-month tour, entitled "Chinese Dream: Reports on Islands in Qingdao", is co-sponsored by Qingdao Daily and the Qingdao Marine and Fishery Agency. The State Oceanic Administration and Ocean University of China will provide technical assistance on the road for reporters to detail their extraordinary story.

The tour, aimed at providing a panorama of 65 islands, will for the first time explore the natural beauty and resources of the island as well as its potential for economic development. Based on the discovery, strategic plans to protect and explore the islands will be laid out to help restructure the industry. The tour will help contribute to the development of a blue ocean economy.
