A major Shanxi production involving song and dance,“Beautiful Jinzong”，will be on stage of Macao, during the May Day holiday and this particular form of Shanxi cultural heritage is expected to wow the Macao audience with its local flavor from the middle of the province.

The show will offer some the national-level intangible cultural heritage, such as Taigu Yangko, paper-cuttings done by folk artisans.

Wang Xin, an assistant to the chief director, Zhao An, explained it this way,“The show is a combination of the traditional and modern fashion, each dance or song with its own distinct features.”

Du Yinwu, representative of the troupe, told reporters that the show represents only a small part of the local culture, but that he hopes it will have a resounding effect among the older generation, and possibly even get the post-80s, -90s even the -00s interested in some traditional Chinese folk culture.
