迷你刺猬掀最新寵物潮
Mini hedgehogs have become Britain's latest pet craze, the Daily Mail of London reported. It's thought there are now more than 10,000 of them being kept as pets in the UK. They rarely grow longer than 28 cm and weigh around 0.45 kg. Unlike cats and dogs, they do not trigger allergies, nor do they give off the strong odor of hamsters or rats. Their normal lifespan is between 3 and 8 years. But animal charities are concerned people will buy them on impulse then abandon them. (See photo)
據(jù)英國《每日郵報(bào)》報(bào)道，迷你刺猬在英國掀起一股最新寵物潮。據(jù)估計(jì)目前英國有超過1萬只迷你刺猬被當(dāng)作寵物來養(yǎng)。它們一般不超過28厘米，重約0.45公斤。它們不會像貓狗一樣引起過敏，也不會散發(fā)倉鼠或老鼠身上的濃重氣味。其壽命一般為3到8年。但動物慈善團(tuán)體擔(dān)心，民眾只是一時興起養(yǎng)迷你刺猬，隨后會將之遺棄。(見圖)
