An extensive photo exhibition featuring images of the Beijing Olympic Games opened last Friday at the National Art Museum of China.
The five-day exhibition had the theme of "Sharing the Glory and the Dream". It featured nearly 300 pictures taken by photographers of Xinhua News Agency. Highlights included images of the Olympic flame in the National Stadium, the gorgeous and luxuriant Opening Ceremonies, famous Olympic venues and athletes in motion, as well as enthusiastic volunteers and audience members.
"Lots of pictures snapped show impressive scenes, which were hardly seen on television!" wrote one enthusiastic visitor in the exhibit's comment book.
The images were selected from more than 50,000 photos released by Xinhua during the 16 days of the Olympic Games.
The exhibit's full tour will include stops in 31 provinces and regions across China, as well as museums abroad.
