MEXICO CITY -?The 6th Continental Cuban Solidarity Meeting ended here Sunday with the approval of the Mexico Declaration which demands the United States end the Cuban Adjustment Act.

At the four-day meeting, delegates from 30 American countries demanded US President Barack Obama "end the cruel and inhuman policy" which has forced and stimulated Cuban illegal immigration to the United States.

Signatories to the declaration said the Cuban Adjustment Act was "a marked violation of the immigration agreements promoted by Cuba."

The document demanded an immediate and unconditional release of five Cubans jailed in the United States since 1998, saying they are under "unfair sentences in jails of the Empire (the United States)."

The prisoners are considered as heroes by Cubans for fighting the "terrorism" conducted by Cuban exiles against the island nation. The United States, however, accuses them of spying.

The Mexico Declaration was signed by pro-Cuba activists from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Uruguay.
